Kirk Watts replaced the injured Andy Drury in the only change from Saturday's starting eleven, and after Lewes 'keeper Steve Williams had made a good save to keep out a Luke Nightingale shot, Booth slotted home his third penalty and fifth goal of the season in the fifth minute after Ian Simpemba had been pulled back in the box.
From then on it was one way traffic in terms of chances created for the rest of the first period., with the in-form striker smashing home his second on 25 minutes after latching onto a long clearance by Williams. He might have had his hat trick by the interval had he not shot narrowly over before being denied by a fine stop by Craig Stoner. Simon Wormull also went close on three occasions, the last of them a thunderous 25 yard strike which fizzed just wide of the post, whilst all the home side could muster was an Olly Rowland header which was just off target.
After the break the Rooks continued to create chances at regular intervals, and Dale Binns just failed to get on the end of a Watts cross before Booth shot over with Gary Holloway perfectly placed for what would have been a tap in. However the floodgates opened in the final ten minutes, with first Simpemba powering home a header from a Wormull corner, then Holloway's bravery earning him a first goal of the season and a nasty gash after colliding with a post. Substitute Jamie Cade won and converted a penalty in injury time to complete the rout.
Lewes: Williams, Conroy, Barness, Robinson (Legge 82), Simpemba, Watts, Holloway, Wormull, Selley, Binns (Cade 66), Booth (Davis 84).
