Gary Holloway was one of several Rooks who impressed, but ultimately it was not enough as the Rooks' FA Cup run ended on a wintry afternoon in Nottinghamshire.

Boss Steve King stuck with the same eleven who had started both of the Grays games, with Tom Davis and Ian Selley the unlucky two not to make it onto the bench.  The first half hour was very even, with the visitors if anything having the better of the play.  However all that changed on 32 minutes, when Rory Boulding made a swift break down the right flank, and his low cross was turned in at the far post by elder brother Michael.

Six minutes before the break it was 2-0, as the younger Boulding swept home a Matthew Hamshaw pass from a tight angle, and sadly that was pretty much that.  After the interval King quickly switched to a two and then three man forward line, but despite plemty of possession and some good pressure, they failed to create a decent goalscoring oppoertunity, and Ian Simpemba's sending-off for a second bookable offence on 73 minutes sealed their fate.

Substitute Ian Holmes rubbed salt into the wounds nine minutes from the end with a header about which he knew very little, but ultimately the Rooks again have reason to feel very proud of their efforts in the FA Cup this season.

Lewes: Williams, Conroy, Barness (Legge 66), Simpemba, Robinson, Cade, Kennett (Drury 52), Holloway, Wormull, Binns (Griffiths 78), Booth.
