About the scheme

The Lewes FC Community & Education Scheme aims to promote community participation in both Football and Education within Lewes and the surrounding areas. The Scheme is keen to establish and strengthen links within the community and uses the power of Football and Sport to create opportunities for all members of the local community.

Our objective is to deliver accessible and inclusive programmes, promoting educational and social opportunities via professional and consistent programmes throughout the area using football as a positive vehicle to support various mainstream agendas. The Scheme is committed to working in partnership with local community groups and organisations; we have worked with Schools, Youth Organisations, Sussex Police, Lewes District Council and East Sussex County Council to delver various programmes.

We have delivered programmes in various locations and through creating positive partnerships with organisations we have been able to tailor programmes to fit the specific requirements and needs of the project partner as well as having the options of delivering projects within our Education Centre situated within the Dripping Pan or at a venue of your choice. This flexible approach has enabled the Community & Education Scheme to reach a wide and varied audience throughout the area.
