The fog-bound game against St Albans, which was abandoned at half time in October, now takes place on Wednesday April 14th, kick off 7.45pm.

With the original game only lasting 45 minutes, the club is only charging £5 for adult entry to this match, with students and senior citizens paying £2.50 and kids getting in free…

Tim on target for England

Lewes striker Tim Rivers made history this afternoon, becoming the first Lewes FC player to score for England.

Not content with one goal though, Tim scored twice for England Schools against Northern Ireland in the first match of the Centenary Shield tournament…

Chelmsford too strong for Lewes

A physical Chelmsford City side were too much for Lewes this afternoon as the Rooks lost their first game at the Dripping Pan since November.

City moved into second place with this result but like so many of the sides challenging for promotion, their game is one of expediency, moving the ball upfield to their tall striker Robert Edmans as efficiently as possible…


Sussex Senior Cup tie to be replayed

The Sussex FA has ordered Lewes and Hastings United to replay the recent Sussex Senior Cup tie owing to an ineligible player fielded by Hastings.

Ross Treleaven scored during the replay at the Pilot Field on 9th February, and also netted one of the penalties in the shoot-out which Hastings won 7-6…


Ladies reach County Cup final

Lewes Ladies earned a place in the County Cup final for the second season running following this afternoon's 4-0 victory over Crawley Wasps at the Dripping Pan.

Goals from Kirstie Spice, Charlotte Bennett and a brace from Emma Millington mean that Lewes will defend the trophy in a repeat of last year's final against Brighton & Hove Albion on the 18th March…


Havant breached in injury time

Man of the Match Chris Breach got the goal he and his team mates deserved this afternoon with a 94th minute equaliser at Westleigh Park.

Havant looked to be heading for their fifth straight home league win until Breach converted David Wheeler's late cross, but it was testament to the spirit and courage of this Lewes team who battled all the way and were the best side for much of the second period…


Rooks lose on penalties in Senior Cup

Two more hours of football this evening still wasn't enough to separate Lewes and Hastings United in the Sussex Senior Cup, but United went through to the quarter finals having finally won on penalties.

Last week the teams drew 2-2 after extra time at the Dripping Pan, and the scoreline was the same at the end of normal time at the Pilot Field…


Spirited fightback earns Rooks a point

Promotion-chasing Braintree Town surrendered a two goal lead at the Dripping Pan this afternoon, as the Rooks battled back to secure a draw courtesy of a Joe Keehan brace.

Rivers sails into the England squad

Most lads his age would be looking forward to a few days in Malaga for entirely different reasons, but Lewes Under 18 striker Tim Rivers will be heading to Spain in a few weeks time to play football, as part of the England Schools squad.

Following in the footsteps of current Lewes team mate David Wheeler and former Rook Matt Whitehead, who has won a place for the second season running, Tim has been involved in trials since the autumn and found out the news a week ago…


Rooks pitch up to the Farmer's Market

This Saturday's Farmer's Market down the Cliffe will have a new addition - an appearance from Lewes FC.

A number of supporters have volunteered to add a bit of variety to the beeswax candles and organic carrots normally found at the market and will be selling tickets for the forthcoming beer festival, as well as attempting to create interest and awareness of the football club in general amongst the Saturday morning shoppers…


Ten man Rooks hold on for replay

Two hours of football still wasn't enough to find a winner of this evening's third round Senior Cup tie, and Lewes must now travel to Hastings for a replay next Tuesday.

A much-changed Lewes side battled hard against United who are currently second in the Ryman Premier League, and despite being reduced to ten men when Dan Royce was sent off 17 minutes from time, the Rooks held on for a draw after extra time…
