Welcome to the U18 page. The squad has been selected and back from the annual pre-season training camp in Jersey. We have played a number of friendlies, notably the Jersey FA and Gillingham, both being very good competitive games and of a very good standard.

We believe we have a good (albeit large) squad, and have already been approached about a couple of our youngsters about them going on short-term loan.

The team will be rotated, as the demands on the lads in our opinion is extreme, as many of the players with be expected to turn out for Sussex Schools, Sussex FA and their college teams. However our aim is to reach the first round of the FA Youth Cup, and we will play the players who are playing well at the time of these games.

We also have a reserve team this season in the Pontings League, and our aim is for players to earn a place in the reserves, who play many of the Football League reserve teams such as Reading, Watford and Charlton. As these games are played midweek, any players selected will not play for the U18 in the same week.

We have 4 coaches involved with the 18's, who all have FA qualifications for Level 4 down to Level 2:

We also have our own sports therapist, Amy Reynolds, who also works part time for the Albion.

Training is on both Monday (7-9pm) and Wednesday (6.00-7.30pm) evenings at the Pan.
