Lewes FC have signed former Arsenal and London Bees midfielder Amelia Hazard for the 2021/22 FA Women’s Championship campaign.

Hazard, 20, has already reached the heights of the professional game despite her young age, having featured for Arsenal in the 2019 FA WSL Cup final defeat to Manchester City.

She arrives from London Bees, where she featured in the Championship over the past two seasons and played her final game against Blackburn in April.

The midfielder made her England youth debut in an U15 clash against Netherlands and has since also made the Lionesses camp at U19 and U21 level.

Hazard becomes Rooks boss Simon Parker’s fifth signing of the summer and said: “I’m delighted to have signed for Lewes, can’t wait for this new chapter to begin!”

Simon commented: “We’re excited to have Amelia on board. She is incredibly talented and has proven that in the past, has plenty of experience at this level but is now ready to really push on.”
