We're looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to provide the highest standard of strength and conditioning and physical preparation coaching to players to enable us to compete at the very highest level and realise our ambition.

Job title: Physical Preparation Coach
Hours and availability: this is a part-time role
Remuneration: to be discussed, pending availability and experience.

Role and Responsibilities


Plan, deliver and review strength and conditioning sessions for first team players

Design and deliver quality rehabilitation programmes to bring players back from injury

Test and monitor players’ performance, maintain comprehensive and secure records and managing personal data in line with data protection rules.

Design and monitor S&C programmes for individual players as required

Understand and employ your knowledge of female biomechanics and physiology to reduce the risk of injury

Collaborate with coaches and medical staff, maintaining the best interests of the player at all times

Develop good rapport with players

Represent Lewes FC in a professional manner

Adhere to club policies including on safeguarding, anti-bullying and equality.

Essential Qualifications

BSc in Sport Science or a related field

Hold either a UK Strength and Conditioning accreditation (UKSA) or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) (NSCA)

Football Association Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF) qualification

UK Anti-Doping Accredited Advisor.

Desirable Qualifications

MSc in Strength and Conditioning or postgraduate related

Other recognised S&C related qualifications (for example NSCA/BWLA/FA Level 3)

BASES Accredited Sports Scientist.
