Behind every League-winning team is a great goalkeeper and the news that Faye Baker has re-signed for Lewes is a huge boost for the Championship side.

Baker, 29, produced a several stand-out performances last season, though she missed a number of games mid-season through injury. Now fully fit, she says she is excited about the season ahead "Next season's League will be competitive but there's no team we fear and we'll be pushing for the title. It's a great way to celebrate my birthday by committing to Lewes for another year. Hopefully it's a nice present for the fans too!"

And there is no doubt that Rooks fans will agree with Faye and eagerly look forward to when the season kicks off again.
