Lewes looking to recruit three roles under the new Government scheme

The Kickstart Scheme was announced in July 2020 as part of the Chancellor’s Plan for Jobs. The scheme aims to create thousands of high-quality six-month work placements for young people aged 16 to 24 who are claiming Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.

Under the scheme, the Government will cover 100 per cent of employment costs for 25 hours a week. This includes the employee's salary at the appropriate minimum wage for their age, as well as National Insurance and pension contributions.

Lewes Football Club are very pleased to be able to announce that we will look to fill three specific roles under the Kickstart scheme and are now accepting applications from eligible candidates.

The three roles are (click on the job title to download the full job description and how to apply):

Administrative Officer - To support the day to day running of the club and pathway teams.  You will be an enthusiastic self-starter, keen to lead on projects, with strong organisational skills and a willingness to work across lots of projects at the same time.

Communications Officer - To run the club’s social media accounts, draft website copy, coordinate our online match day programme, liaise with media representatives and support the ongoing professionalisation of the club’s external communications.

Local Sales Liaison Officer - To drive sponsorship income from companies based in Lewes and the Sussex area and also to help look after existing sponsors.  You will be an enthusiastic self-starter, be good at administration as well as selling to people, and have the personality to represent the club’s brand & profile to everyone you meet and communicate with.

Closing date for all roles is the 30th April 2021.
