I am sue it comes as no surprise to learn that football at Lewes, and in most other parts of the British Isles, has been suspended.

In an announcement by the Football Association on Friday, all Premier League, English Football League, Women's Super League and Women's Championship fixtures have been suspended until the 4th April 2020. This means no fixtures for our Women's Team until at least that date.

In a separate announcement, the Isthmian League Board announced that fixtures would be suspended until at least the 21st March 2020 with a further statement due to be made during the coming week on the next steps in the league.

Whilst a small number of leagues have continued to operate, there have been numerous cancellations due to players, management, officials and volunteers self-isolating due to their own personal circumstances.

As a community football club our priority is the safety and health of all of the Lewes FC family and we fully support the suspension of games during the most critical period for football in this country for over 70 years.

Once we know more information we will share via our Social Media channels and here on the website.

Stay safe everyone and be kind to each other.
