Lewes Football Club is a 100% community-owned, not-for-profit organisation. In 2017, we became the first (and currently only) club in the world to allocate its budgets and resources entirely equally between its women's and men's teams. We see football as an engine for social change.

We currently have a vacancy for a Sports Therapist or Physiotherapist at Lewes FC to cover our women’s First Team.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual who wishes to play a role in an active and successful community club playing football in the Championship, the second tier of English football.

This is a part time position involving Tuesday evenings, Wednesday evenings, Friday evenings and during match days (Sundays).

Location: The Dripping Pan, Lewes, Mountfield Road
Roles and responsibilities:

• Provide physiotherapy/sports therapy services for first team players and promote their health and wellbeing.

• Be responsible for day to day delivery of high-level injury prevention, injury rehabilitation and pitch-side first aid/emergency care.

• Collaborate with coaching staff to ensure injuries are documented and reviewed appropriately.

• Ensure compliance with the club Medical Emergency Action Plan

• Be an active member of the team, attend team meetings, provide updates on player injury status, ensure good communication with the coaching staff and provide information to inform decisions around availability for matches and training.

• Report safeguarding concerns

• Represent Lewes FC in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree (or equivalent)

• For Sports Therapists: a current membership of SOST or BASRAT

• For a Physiotherapist: A registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
