The Lewes FC Community Department has developed and maintained positive partnerships with local schools in Lewes and the surrounding rural areas for many years.

These partnerships have led to the development of several projects that are delivered within schools as part of Extended Schools provision or as part of the curriculum.

Sport is used as a positive vehicle for the delivery of several subjects and we are not limited to just Football or different sports. Just having different faces with a different approach has proven to be successful in particular cases.

We work closely with schools to ensure we are meeting their aims, which also enables the participants to achieve. We are open to your ideas and can deliver tailored programmes or these listed below.

After School Clubs

Catering for all ages, abilities and genders we can deliver coaching sessions that are based upon fun and enjoyment. Allowing participants to develop new and existing skills in a familiar environment with their friends. Sessions last for one hour and can be booked in blocks and based on the needs of the school. We also cater for schools needing support with school teams.

Fair Play

This successful lunchtime supervision session allows children to learn to play fairly without any of the issues that may occur during matches. Children will develop important social skills to enable each other to set-up and manage their own play within the playground.

PE Curriculum Sessions

We can deliver curriculum sessions and provide assessment feedback on the progress of children and groups. Based upon a structured programme and session plans these sessions can enable children to develop skills and confidence.

Inter house Football Competitions

We have worked with schools to either deliver or help set up their inter house football competitions. We can help liaise with the students and teachers, so we can involve the whole school or year groups.
